Dairy farming
The budget will provide 285,000 units to support livestock production while it will also help restore and conserve the natural vocation of land and improved silvopastoral practices, said Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA).
This strategic project is aimed at the restoration, rehabilitation, rational management and conservation of natural resources in the affected livestock production units, where the target population are farmers engaged in rearing cattle.
The states supported by this programme are: Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Mexico, Michoacan, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, Queretaro, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Yucatan and Zacatecas.
Since September 30, 2011, the Federal Administration, through the SAGARPA, launched the Project to Support Emerging Adjusting Stocking Grazing supporting farmers affected by drought.
