Class IV Prices Continue to Push Higher

Butter was unchanged with now loads trading at $2.74 ¼. Cheddar, which saw numbers over $2.00 earlier in the week, couldn’t find any buyers and had Blocks sliding back 5 ½ cents to $1.99 ½, and Barrels down just ¾ of a cent to $1.86 1/2, both failed to trade a load.
Class IV milk continued its run higher. January up 10 to $22.35, February slid 1 cent to $22.13, but march gained 22 to $22.22/cwt. The balance of the year was down slightly to 41 cents higher in August.
Class III milk was mixed. January fell 12 cents to 20.29, February gave back 24 cents to $21.43 but March gained 19 to 21.24/cwt, The balance of 2022 varied from down 2 to 16 higher.
Grains found some momentum as dry weather persists in South America. Corn gained 3 to 6.06 ¾, soybeans jumped 23 cents to $14.10 ¼ with soybean meal leading the charge, gaining $14 to $425/ton in March.
